Lola Blanc (born Kandice Melonakos December 20, 1987) is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and model based in Los Angeles, California.

History

Lola was born in Germany, raised in Michigan, and now resides in Hollywood, California. She began performing as a ventriloquist at the age of 9 and did so for several years, her performances including a routine at the Imperial Palace for the Shari Lewis Memorial Tribute in Las Vegas in 1999.[1] She moved to Los Angeles at age 17 to pursue music, also working as an actress,[2] model,[3] software model,[4] and showcase artist for en2go International Inc.[5][6] Lola is currently working with a number of music producers.

Lola has written songs with producers and songwriters such as Mandi Perkins, Dillon Pace, Jonas Jeberg, Jared Cotter, Ted Bruner, Victoria Horn, Julie Frost, Frank Romano, Sheppard Solomon, Morgan Taylor Reid, Jon Levine, Kinetics & One Love, Damon Elliott, Nicholas RAS Furlong, Tom Meredith, Chris DeStefano, and more. She plays the lead role in the Interpol music video "Lights",[7] and is featured in the Chrissie Hynde music video "If You Let Me," as well as the Lifehouse music video "Halfway Gone," [8] among others.

Lola wrote the song "Come Closer" for Suzie Rose, which was placed in season 3 of the CW's The Game.[9] Her dance song "I'm Alive," produced by Tolga Katas, was placed in the Kristin Cavallari and Rob Schneider movie, "Wild Cherry".[2][10] She also did background vocals on the soundtrack for Repo! The Genetic Opera.[2][11]
